INDUSTRY CONSULTANCY WORK
During 2000/2001 Peter Austin worked in a Product Development & Marketing Consultancy role with Steelcase to manage development and launch of a new portfolio of executive desking, meeting & boardroom tables and occasional seating for Gordon Russell. A Commodities Company

For this project it was vital that the company kept operating throughout the extensive works period. The project not only involved refurbishing and installing new office furniture for the trading floor, but also installing new raised flooring, power boxes and CAT5 Cabling at the same time.
The Accounts department used a large amount of lever arch files, so shelving was especially designed and constructed to fill a complete wall from floor to ceiling.
The Reception Desk was extended with bespoke furniture to improve the efficiency and appearance. |

A Health and Safety Company

We have worked closely with this client over the last 6 years and have found and relocated them to their current premises.
Initially this client required space planning with existing furniture and then the designing, refurbishment of the existing premises to make it both more professional and transform it into a better working environment.
The company was then relocated to new premises which were reconfigured to their growing requirement, again using existing furniture.
It soon became apparent that the existing furniture was not flexible enough to be reconfigured to allow for more workstations as the company expanded. The answer was to supply 20 new double wave workstations for there expanding helpline department. During a major reorganisation in September 2001 the balance of old furniture was replaced with 1600 x 1600 shaped workstations.

An Established Estate Agency

This established estate agency in Reading town centre needed more high street premises for their expanding business. The answer was to refurbish a nearby shop unit and transfer the house lettings department to a more visual location.
Additional support has also been provided within the existing premises. |

A Property Development Company

A Property Company based in the City of London had recently purchased a uniquely styled Head Office in the Docklands, which required complete interior design and refurbishment prior to the relocation of staff.
The office furniture was carefully specified and tendered to meet the clients unique requirement.
As all interior fit out and furniture was in natural wood all the veneer was hand selected from 2 logs for consistency and colour match.

IT Recruitment Company

An IT recruitment company based in Windsor, Berkshire had recently been acquired, and had to be merged and relocated to an office in Aylesbury.
The Aylesbury office also had to be reconfigured to accept the new staff.
Subsequently the continued growth required additional office space, which was located close and linked via fibre optics. |

Two linked companies required relocating into a shared, larger office within a 3 month timescale, which included locating the right premises.
The premises then needed segregating to provide 2 distinct workplaces.
The offices were then refurbished in 2000. |

This Internet company occupied temporary office space, and due to a fast track expansion plan required new offices in central London. Once the premises was found, a complete refurbishment of the floor was required, with new partitioning, kitchen, shower and CAT5 network cabling installed.
